Card Games
The culture of playing card games comprises different material and ceremonial essentials. The material part of card games names the pack of cards, card table and some additional tools.
The ceremonial part denotes the order in which a card game is performanced. The whole performance is regulated by the set of rules accepted for a certain kind of card game. But there are also procedures which are common for nearly all types of card games. These are, for instance, the actions of shuffling and dealing the cards.The expanded variety of types of card games can be represented in the following way:
1. Trick-taking games are card games with a distinct and common play structure: each round of play is divided into units called tricks, during which each player selects one card from his or her hand. Trick-taking games are Bridge, Hearts, Pinochle, Piquet, Spades, Whist, Wizard etc.
2. Rummy-style games are represented, for instance, by Canasta, Concentration, Durak, Gin rummy so on.
3. Casino or gambling card games are those played in land-based or online casinos.
The great variety of gambling card games includes, for example, Baccarat, Bingo, Blackjack,
Poker, Primero etc.
4. Others: the rest of card games can be divided into such groups as Solitaire (or Patience) games,
Shedding games, Accumulating games, Multi-genre games and others.
